If your home was built after 1930’s it is likely to have cavity walls. Typically 35% of your homes heat is lost through uninsulated walls. Lower Evenlode & Windrush Neighbourhood Plan Proposal - Public Drop-in Event - 4 November 201431/10/2014 Charles Mathew, the County Councillor for our parish and the area around the Lower Evenlode & Windrush has organised an event to assess public interest in the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Lower Evenlode * Windrush areas, and writes:
"In view of the latest draft Local Development Framework drawn up by WODC and the SHMA requisitioned by Local Councils to ascertain the numbers Oxfordshire needs for housing, I am desirous of formulating a local plan to cover the Lower Windrush and Evenlode Valleys, which will act to the Planning and Regulation Authorities in WODC and OCC as guidelines for the future of these areas. The intent of this drop in would be to assess the desire and willingness of residents to partake of this exercise and to explain in further detail the importance of a coordinated plan to cover such diffuse items as housing, roads, gravel, waste, buses, water, sewerage, floods and the such. In order to do this in a reasonable time, we will welcome participation by residents and subparties to cover different topics. This drop in will enable people to register their interest. It has not been possible to find a common date for a communal meeting, hence the open drop in. PLEASE COME- WE need your views on the FUTURE of the area, in which you live. I am happy to discuss and receive your advice The Drop-In takes place on: Tuesday 4 November from 4.30pm to 8.00pm at Stanton Harcourt Village Hall, OX29 5SB. The owners of The Old Chapel have submitted an outline planning application for the erection of three detached dwellings with associated garages and a replacement garage to serve The Old Chapel on North Street, Aston.
The dwellings will be accessed by the creation of an access road alongside the north side of The Old Chapel. The development of this site will also open up the future possibility of the redevelopment of the buildings and land at Home Farm, Back Lane, as the access road will be able to be used to access that site. To view the application, go to the WODC website - www.westoxon.gov.uk, click on the Planning & Building tab and search by application number - 14/1282/P/OP. Anyone can comment on planning applications - the WODC officer details to contact with a response can be found on the WODC website. The Post Office has considered the responses received to the consultation, particularly in relation to the opening hours and parking. The final decision confirms that, in the opinion of The Post Office, the current arrangements for three sessions of three hours each at the Fellowship Centre, Cote Road, Aston, are adequate for local need and will continue.
